I love fall – the colours, the cooler weather, the slant of the sunlight – you’ve portrayed it well. I paticularly like the misty trees.
I love the fall as well, Lynne. The trees were tricky, because it was foggy, and there was a lot of dynamic range. I actually ended up darkening the sky in lightroom with a filter. Light, as you probably know, is one of the more difficult things to portray in art.
And without it (light) we have no art. Nice work.
Thanks!
Very beautiful!
Thank you!
beautiful pics, Arnel
Thanks! It took me forever to find them, LOL. I had exported them to another hard drive…
the best season ever! especially in your neck of the woods…and that quote!
perfect!
It really is. I used to favor spring, but I think fall is taking over as my favorite.
spring’s like walking in a bookstore full of new off the press books…..fall….fall’s like walking through a shop full of first editions from days gone by…:) it’s 6am, I just woke up….forgive the weird analogies
Actually, it’s a great analogy! Maybe you think better at 6AM!
thanks Arnel

Thank you Pam!
Such beautiful, contrasting images – very interesting and thought-provoking. Thank you for your great photography – here, and in all of your posts.
Why thank you SSM! Photography is my drug of choice!
These photos are stunning! We don’t get this kind of mass display of autumn colours where I live.
Africa has it’s own beauty! But I do appreciate the wonderful colors. I grew up in CA. We did not have colors like this there. Winters were brown. Then I moved to the midwest. No seasons there, really, either. This is like candy for the eye, and I can’t get enough of it. I used to love, love, love summer. And while I still like it, Autumn is now my favorite with spring a close second.
I love autumn & these photos explain why! Fantastic colour displays!
Thank you so much! My favorite too!
Loved looking at your photos enlarged … Particualarly Nelson 5 with the little cottage in the middle .. now that would be a place to stay-away-from-it -all
Thank you! West Virginia is very rugged, and so beautiful. That little cottage would definitely be away from it all. I was wondering when I saw it how long it took to get from there to the main road.
My favorite is your winding road shot….love the depth of colour…and of course that sense of “where does that road lead’….. Also would like to see how and what platform you find meets your web site. Take care till next time.
I like that one too! Thanks for stopping by.
