Like a deer in the headlights, this squirrel seems to have realized he got caught with his hand in the cooker jar, er…birdseed.
The squirrels have taken to leaping from the deck railing onto the bird feeder, scaring the birds away. The boys yelled at them and they scampered, but tend to come back. Aggressive little buggers. So I need to move the feeder more to the center where they cannot reach it. It’s tilting precariously as well, from their weight. But I did manage to get two flying species as well.

amazing pics Arnel
determined critters!
Thanks! They are very determined!
Beautiful shots
Thanks Andy!
So very welcome ^_^
We have a squirrel that raids our bird feeder too. He does amazing acrobatics to reach the thing . . . no matter how far out of his reach we put it.
Robin, thanks for the info. I was going to pull it to the middle of the deck, but it seems that may not work. Ugh!
Those are some really good shots! I like how you softened out the background so the subjects are even more eye catching.
Thank you! The background softens and blurs when you open up the aperture.
Nice photographs.
Thanks Colline!
Awwwwwwwwwwwww, that squirrel is soooo cute!!!
And annoying…
aww that poor baby, but he should have known!!! great photos!
Yes he should. They remind me of Scrat in Ice age…
Squirrels do love their sunflower seeds! Great shots, all of them.
That they do! THanks Patti!
He doesn’t even look remorseful
Lovely shots Arnel.
I don’t think he is!
. I swear I’ve watched him get fatter and fatter every day.
