I’ve been fiddling with Black and White. Would love to know what you think…

wow!!
Thanks Julie!
I prefer the colour because the beauty of flowers really is their colour, isn’t it? Having said that, the b&w really highlights the distinct features of the flower.
Thanks Colline! I always tend to turn toward the color photos, but I like the B&W to break the monotony.
Great shots, as always! I especially love the daisies 🙂 The black and white shots are beautiful; I really like the second bw shot. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks! And thanks for stopping by! I love daisies too. The really colorful ones always remind me of easter baskets with colored eggs…
Beautiful!
Thank you!
those are beautiful All. What is the name of the top flower? i do not recognize it.
Terry, I searched and searched, and I believe I found it. I think it is called a chicory blossom.
The black and white is nice! i especially like the second lily. 🙂
Thanks Robin! That seems to be the consensus. Although I’m more partial to the first black and white. 🙂
It’s all in the eye of the beholder, right? 😉
Yes, it is. I always loved the saying, “one man’s weed is another man’s flower…” 🙂
Good one!
🙂
You are really good at this Arnel. Gorgeous shots – I particularly like the 3rd one, the red/orange one. The 2nd bw has interesting contrasts but, for me, I think a b/w flower will also scream, what colour am I?
I like the colors best as well. I’m not sure but I think the orange is a type of lupin? I just found out the blue purple towards the bottom is a chicory blossom in the aster family. They grow in fields, roadsides and near trash…Interesting… I do think b&W do tease the brain into trying to figure out what color they are. I don’t like B&W films for this reason. The whole time I’m watching I’m distracted by wondering what color everything is…
Loved the B&W. Color shows the flower off but B&W shows structure more. Keep doing the B&Ws. Think you will have fun.
Thanks! I like them for something different, but like the color ones the best.
Such gorgeous flowers. Love the black and white ones especially!
Thanks Cee! This last week was a good one for photos! I think I have enough for next weeks as well!
the b&ws ooze elegance to me…but the others are gorgeous as well
Thank you! I like the B&W for a change of pace.
Hi,
Beautiful photos. Personally with flowers I like to see the gorgeous colours, rather than try to imagine what colour they may be. 🙂
Thank you! I prefer the color as well, but like B&W for a change of scenery.
Amazing photographs! 😊kudos for a great post!
Thanks Aina! You are really sweet! Thanks for stopping by!
