I prefer the colour because the beauty of flowers really is their colour, isn’t it? Having said that, the b&w really highlights the distinct features of the flower.

Great shots, as always! I especially love the daisies 🙂 The black and white shots are beautiful; I really like the second bw shot. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!

You are really good at this Arnel. Gorgeous shots – I particularly like the 3rd one, the red/orange one. The 2nd bw has interesting contrasts but, for me, I think a b/w flower will also scream, what colour am I?

    • I like the colors best as well. I’m not sure but I think the orange is a type of lupin? I just found out the blue purple towards the bottom is a chicory blossom in the aster family. They grow in fields, roadsides and near trash…Interesting… I do think b&W do tease the brain into trying to figure out what color they are. I don’t like B&W films for this reason. The whole time I’m watching I’m distracted by wondering what color everything is…

Loved the B&W. Color shows the flower off but B&W shows structure more. Keep doing the B&Ws. Think you will have fun.

    Hi,
Beautiful photos. Personally with flowers I like to see the gorgeous colours, rather than try to imagine what colour they may be. 🙂

  11. Amazing photographs! 😊kudos for a great post!
