“When you arise in the morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love …”
It is still Thursday where I am so this was a lovely early flower tour.
Thank you Robin! I actually meant to schedule it, but made it for the wrong day. But it was 11:30 PM, so close enough!
You are a woman with many talents – these are beautiful!
Thank you got stopping by!
What a great variety of different flowers, love the colours, great photos. 🙂
Thanks! Some of them were not easy–the white flower towards the bottom was on a busy roadside–which made it always moving from the drafting of the cars.
Gorgeous shots! Love the intense red of the lily and the delicacy of the white flowers just after – is it Gypsophila?
Madhu, I do not know what the white is. I thought it was a stand of baby’s breath (is that gypsophila?) but upon closer inspection, found they looked like tiny daisies…
It is. I love them as fillers in flower arrangements.
I do too! I was surprised when I got up close and saw they were daisys.
Beautiful thoughts and pictures…Diane
Thank you Diane!
Great quote to go along with these beautiful photos Arnel 🙂
Thank you Jim!
As ever, I am blown away by the photographic talents (and skill… mustn’t forget what it takes to USE the talent) shown in these images.
Would that I were as good…
Your words are very much appreciated! I was actually told recently I should join a couple of co-op art galleries here, so I just may do that. Thanks for encouraging me with your thoughts! I’m very excited to have found something I love that brings joy to others, especially when it is a second possible career…
I have nominated your blog for The Reader Appreciation Award! See details below the post “Being creative” at http://marianne365days.wordpress.com. I look forward to continue reading your wonderful blog!
Thank you Marianne! Much appreciated!

Gorgeous flowers! I love the detail…
Thanks, So. Sea Muse!
Hi there! Geodesic dandelion, delineated Linum, umbelliferous Lace, pollencrusted stamen… Absolutely loving your fantastic photos: )
… And wondering if your “tiny daisies” – such a very delicate pink they’re almost white and petals so fine they look like eyelashes – might actually be Fleabane?
Oh thank you so much!!!! It’s nice to have someone who knows what they are!! I looked up Fleabane and indeed I think they are! I’ve seen them in obvious and not quite obvious shades of pink, and white.i guess I’d have to check the leaf attachment to be sure but I think that’s it! You made my day!
Hi Arnel, PFAF (a VERY interesting database: ) has four different listings for Fleabane. Is this like yours? Ahttp://www.pfaf.org/user/Plant.aspx?LatinName=Erigeron+philadelphicus
Oops! Slightly messed up the address there; can you please delete the “A”? Thanks, D.
Yes. That’s it!
Hi Arnel, The link to Fleabane on PFAF (Plants for a Future) does not function here as there is a typo in the web address (I accidentally inserted the letter “A” before http:) I’ll resend the link…
Sorry for the confusion. Here’s “your” fleabane: Philadelphia
That’s O.K. I had found it anyway! It is fleabane I’m seeing. I saw a field the other day–haven’t been able to get over for a photograph, but I will. I giant field just filled with the stuff. Thought it might be nice at sunset.
Everything looks nice at sunset (and with the heat we’re currently experiencing, it’s the only half-way comfortable time to be outdoors LOL!) but you’re right, I can “picture” their ethereal glow right here and now; )
I think I might actually get over there this evening!
great shots Arnel the church is my favorite
Thanks Jim! I just love that red roof!
