The Sound of Silence…

Shhhh!  Do you hear it?

It’s the sound of no XBox…

It’s the sound of doors that stay closed…

It’s the sound of a kitchen that stays clean…

It’s the sound of no bickering…

It’s the sound of no laundry…

It’s the sound of no backtalk…

It’s the sound of no eye rolling…

It’s the sound of children at camp…

Nice writing and photography. I am still waiting for the sound of a clean kitchen. 🙂

    • I’m guessing that comes after they leave for college. I swear I clean it, come back, and it’s dirty again after which I lecture about putting their own dishes in the dishwasher. It’s a process….

  3. Now be honest – don’t you miss them a little bit? LOL 🙂

    So beautiful……love the bokeh.

    • Thank you! That was at Monticello Gardens, and they had planted rows of different flowers, so it was such a delight aiming to get different effects in the background.

so true… why can’t they put their dishes in the dishwasher…. I am always amazed at that one…. We wanted these little grown up creatures right? Enjoy the silence… thankfully it won’t last long!
