A few days ago when I logged on to WordPress, I found an exciting surprise waiting for me that left me quite speechless. For anyone who knows me, this is a major feat.
Roly over at Comedy in Crisis awarded me a newly created award called The Blog of the Year Award 2012. Roly has an amazing spirit. He shares his life in South Africa with his children and wife with a unique perspective in a Dave Barry-ish sort of story telling manner. He is very funny, and I love reading his blog for the laughs it gives me, as well as the underlying moral that is sometimes part of his stories.
As you can see there is one gold star with the possibility of six in total.
The ‘rules’ for this award are simple:

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!
Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

Let me just add that I appreciate everyone’s blogs. The more we read and pass these around, the more bloggers get involved. I had posted recently that I wasn’t going to accept awards anymore, because they really are very time consuming. But I thought this was a little bit different and worthy, plus, I wanted to pass it on. Thank you to everyone who has stuck by me in this dry spell I seem to have hit. I know that eventually the sun will shine brightly again.

Oh, please don’t be sorry!! To tell you the honest truth, I’ve kind of passed on a couple of awards lately because I just couldn’t keep up, and I felt really bad about it. It’s nice to know how you feel though. Thank you :).
I’m so stressed out lately, I’ve seen my picture a couple of times and thought, eww, I look baaaad. They delivered my dad’s vehicles this evening. Think I was a lot distracted by that.
Stress is a horrible thing – it takes a terrible toll on us – and you have had to deal with a great deal lately :(. Just try and make sure that you get lots of rest (stress always seems worse to me when I’m tired) and try and take some “me” time to do something that makes your heart feel good :).
Definitely in need of some of that!
