Thanks Marina! It was an exercise in frustration. I haven’t gotten the new head for my tripod, so trying to get the old one to behave in a way that it just can’t was torture. It should be here today though, so I’ll have another go when it gets here.
It’s weird the way they came out. The edges are the edges of the lichen that were growing out from the tree. The ice accumulated on the tops of them as though they were ledges.
I adore your sense of beauty…and I offer my “hat’s off” to your photographic acumen… as well as a final thought… “Ditto” to what Ms. Kanavaki said… on both regards! 😉
Thanks LT! I got them on Friday late in the day. Played with them yesterday. It’s going to take some practice I think. I’m not sure I chose the right head. I may be returning that, and getting something different. I also am thinking I need rails that move X and Y axis, though not sure on that yet. Will know more next week when I have more time to play with it.
it’ll make for some awesome pics, Arnel….all this experimentation….just great to be able to see the process unfold in your posts as you reach that ultimate perfect pic! 🙂 Hugs
Such an interesting and amazing man and life. Did you know he didn’t speak until he was four, and his parents thought he was mentally handicapped? Boggles the mind…
One of the boys did a report on him at school, when he was in the third or fourth grade. He was struggling then, and it was such a thrill for him to realize that Einstein had a rough beginning. I believe he also had difficulties socially most of his life. Who wouldn’t, when you are that smart? Be hard to relate to most anyone when they aren’t quite on your plane. 🙂
Ice sparkles like diamonds!
Dazzling beauty, Arnel!

Well, it seems to me that it obeyed and behaved very well!!!
🙂
🙂
Haven’t quite figured out what this is. Ice?
They are macros of ice on lichen.
Interesting. Would never have guessed 🙂

Thank you Marshal. I really appreciate that!
Simple and so beautiful!
Thank you SS. 🙂
For some reason I can’t see the photos.
Jules, did that ever resolve? I’m having trouble when I load, they don’t always all show up either. I don’t know what the problem is.
the lens is kick ass, Arnel. The pics are just amazing. Can’t wait to see how the new head for the tripod helps make them even better 🙂

Lets hope so…
Leave it to Einstein to keep us humble!

Wow. I did not know that. I guess genius is hard for us mortals to recognize.

Beautiful photos!! Reminds me of early mornings after the first snow of the season!!
Thank you Jana! We got another snow last night, and the birds went nuts with the seed on the ground.
Totally in awe Arlene!
