So you resolved your technical problems I see. Did you figure out what happened?

Lovely photos. Nice way to start the weekend. That reminds me. I must scoot out to the garden to do some weeding.

  10. Nice to see you got things working. The flower shots are, as always, lovely.
Speaking as one who has an Associate in Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems (which was, by the way, obsolete before they gave me my diploma), this sort of thing is not unusual; interface software that reads the incoming messages and outgoing keystrokes and translates them back and forth into the proper signals for transmission can idiopathically malfunction, entering either an infinite loop or abnormally terminate, which a sysgen and IPL will rectify.
Translation… it screws up when it wants to, for no apparent reason, and rebooting the computer probably won’t hurt, and might even help.
Another glimpse into the secret world of computer geeks… we really don’t know any more than you do, we just have bigger, more confusing words to use to say so.

    • Thanks for the technical explanation! I always feel like a reboot is akin to Voodoo. 🙂 And thanks for the compliment on the flower shots. I rented a Nikon D800 to see if it was something I’d like to consider replacing my camera with. It’s always interesting using something new. I did like the camera though.
